Guns and Alcohol – At the Texas Rangers Museum?

I wrote about the pleasant intersection of beer and guns at the Dancing Bear Pub in Waco, Texas yesterday. And I previously wrote about my visit to the impressive Texas Rangers Hall of Fame and Museum in Waco.

What I didn’t mention about the Texas Ranger Museum before was some interesting finds in gift shop. Red solo cups, shot glasses, and plastic flasks.

I’m no teetotaler, but these items do trigger my prudish impulses. For some reason — perhaps all of the bad things that happen in our society when people abuse alcohol — I’m not totally comfortable with the branding of shot glasses, flasks, and solo cups with the Texas Rangers Museum imprimatur.
