Last week YouTube was deleting videos (and even channels featuring videos) that had guns with silencers on them. According to Stephen Gutowski’s reporting in The Reload, YouTube has since changed course.
I never received any notice from YouTube about problematic videos on my “Light Over Heat” site, which didn’t surprise me because most of my YouTube videos are just me talking. But I do occasionally post shooting videos.
So I was relieved to stop by my site this morning and find the video of me shooting a full-auto, suppressed submachine gun with John Daub at KR Training in Texas last year. (The video also has me shooting the assault rifle of the 1870s, a lever action rifle.)

It’s great to be able to capture high-quality images from videos these days. If I was going to pick a gun to shoot regularly, it wouldn’t be this one. But it was fun to shoot once!
